    Message Rules (Version 6)

I'm probably going to have to wipe my hard disk and reinstall Windows. I've created a fairly extensive list of Message Rules in Outlook Express for diverting spam. Is there any file that I can save and then copy back which holds this Message Rule list? Or am I out of luck? Thanks.

It sounds cheesy, but what I typically do to find the file in cases like this is edit a rule, then use Windows' search for files feature to find all files modified today and check the times to see what matches up. Definitely not a perfect approach, but if no one else has the real answer, you could try it.

These rules are stored in the registry. For details of how to back them up see MSKB 276511

    You can also try a <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15> utility OEBackup

Thanks very much for this Knowledge Base article on where the Message Rules are stored. (And thanks for all the advice sent, as well.) Much appreciated.
