    Word2K Tahoma Font Missing

For some reason today I started getting the following error message when opening Word, "The Tahoma font is not present. To restore it, click on Detect and Repair on the Help menu". When I click okay, word pops right up. I know Tahoma is the font used in the menu / tool bars etc. and it is the font that word is using for those items, even though it says it is not present. I checked my fonts folder and have Tahoma. I ran Repair and Detect like the message said. Still get the error though.
    Anyone else ever experienced this?

    Hi ChuckG,

Have you tried removing and reinstalling the Tahoma font in the Fonts folder?

Windows won't let me remove the tahoma font, it is in use. I guess I could boot from a dos disk and delete them that way. But would Windows sub another font, or just leave me with blank text boxes.

    Hi ChuckG,

Did you try moving it to another folder?

Typically Tahoma is substituted with Tahoma Bold.
