SQL Data into Word Form (2000/SP-3)

Just been assigned a project to pull data from our Accounting system (Maxwell 2000) into a form. They have not specified which application I should use; but Word has the capability of placing tables where I want them.

Has anybody got experience pulling MS Query information into named (bookmarked) fields in Word? I already have ODBC access and some sample queries started from Excel.

The first thing I need is a drop down box; either in the form or in a user dialog to choose the Customer.

    Thanks!

Can't you use mail merge for this?

Different parts of the form will be using different tables. Can I do this in Mail Merge?

When they found out how much work it is, they decided to chop up a text file and spill into Excel!
