    Malfunctioning Help

When I view Windows or Office Help systems, my computer is attempting to connect to the internet. When I cancel this I can get into the system, but a load of empty little boxes appear instead of graphics/links.. Any ideas?

    Re: Malfunctioning Help

    Hi Andrew,

There was a problem with the February 2003 Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer (AKA 810847: Security Update for Internet Explorer), that caused little grey boxes to appear, instead of some headings, and links in the HTML help system not to work. You can fix it via Critical Update 811630, at: http://www.microsoft.com/windows98/downloa...630/default.asp

    Cheers

    Re: Malfunctioning Help

Thanks. Tried, but doesn't resolve. Perhaps it's not a 'bug' and there is an option somewhere that says to use the internet when accessing Help?! They are little empty white boxes on my system, and the links on the help pages still work.

There is a Web Help button on the toolbar, which wasn't there before I believe and doesn't work. Any other ideas? Thanks, Andy.
