Unwanted Even-Numbered Page Indents (Word XP / 2002)

I have a few documents in which Word insists on indenting the first line of each even-numbered page, even though the indent (per paragraph styles) is set to zero. I've tried various ways to force it back into its proper place (such as setting negative indents), but all my efforts have been unsuccessful.

Has anyone else run into this behavior, and has anyone figured out how to set Word (and the margins of my even-numbered pages) straight?

    TIA -

    - Vaughn

See if Text at the top of the page is unaccountably indented by Word MVP Suzanne Barnhill helps.

That did the trick, Hans. Once again, the Woody's folks save the day (and some of my hair, since I can stop pulling it out...for now).

    Many thanks -
