    Stop Auto Log-Off

When I'm using my personal banking site, I often switch back and forth with Excel. Problem is, if I'm more than 10 minutes with Excel, the banking site will automatically log me off. Then I have to go through the whole password process and needle down to the job at hand all over again. Big hassle.

I'm aware that this is a safety measure and it's for my own good.... But with that aside, does anyone know of an add-in that will simulate activity on a web page to keep it alive? I would find this very useful on the banking site and others. There's several sites that will make you start over again when it thinks you've left the building when all you really did was go after a drink...

    Hi, Rick,

The only thing I think of is AutoIt which has been brought up here a couple of times. In this old post you'll get info from people more authorized than me. (Whatever happened to TimOz?). It takes a little while to get accustomed, but it pays or so they say. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

I remember a post where Tim commented how he refreshed a financial site every few minutes using AutoIt, but I can't find it.

    HTH

Edited to add: it was indeed in the post referred above that Tim not only commented that he refreshed the site but also included the code. It might be useful for your purpose

Hi Diegol and Thanks. I made it to the AutoIt page and noted that it had recently been updated to V.3. I'll check into it and see if I think I can make it do the right tricks. I'm sure the proggy is capable...just not real sure about my implementation of it.
