    delete a block of text (2002 sp3)

I select a block of text. I want to delete it. I press the delete' key. I get a message in the status bar requiring a N0/Yes answer.
This is tedious. I want to delete by using the delete key, like in 97 and 2000.
How can I remove this 'feature'?
    Can't find anything in Help.

    Select Tools | Options...
    Activate the General tab.
Clear the check boxes for the two WordPerfect options.
    Click OK.

    Thanks, Hans.
I sort of remembered I'd seen this behaviour in WordPerfect about version 2.
    Happy Bunny!
