    Tables

I need to be able to search to blank cells in a table and enter a character (same character each time). Can't use find/replace feature, as won't search to nothing (great English).

Any ideas as to how I can make this an automatic procedure instead of manual, as have lots of documents with lots of empty cells I need to do this to.

    Thanks.

You may want to repost in the VB/VBA forum if you haven't already looked there. I've heard mention from some of the gurus there about looping through cells -- or maybe just browse it first.

You should be able to use an Action Query to do what you want. First do a regular query on the field in question using "Is Null" in the criteria for that field. then convert it to an action query changing the field to the contents you want.

    Hi,

Are you talking about a Word table?
As Karen suggested, post to the appropriate forum and I'm sure someone will come up with a fix.
