double underline vs. double accounting underline (Excel 2000)

Under Format -- Cells -- Font -- Underline -- I find single, single accounting, double and double accounting.

I can't find an explanation of the difference between single and single accounting or between double and double accounting.

I've tried them and it appears that the "accounting" type underline leaves a bit of space between the underline and the number (or text).

    Is there anything else?
    Thanks!

You'll also find that if the cell contains only text an accounting underline fills the entire cell (or applicable cells if "Center(ed) Across Selection").

    Thanks John!!

I never even noticed the different options for underlining -- very interesting!
