Wavey Scrolling (Windows XP / IE 6)

One of my delegates has a problem in I.E. when scrolling.

Instead of the page scrolling smoothly he gets what he describes as a wave moving down the screen. Has anyone had a similar problem and found a solution?

    Many thanks,

    Tony.

Does this happen in any other program when there is a large file open?

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Hi Dave - No, he says it is only in I.E. - no large files open.

How much memory does he have installed? Does this happen all the time with IE? Are his graphics card and/or monitor any different from all your other delegates?

    Hi Tony:
Is his setting under Tools/Internet Options/Advanced tab/Use smooth scrolling different than the others? I've only found this to speed up (UNchecked) or slow down (checked) scrolling, but perhaps it acts differently on his PC.

I vaguely recall there was a such a problem mentioned in conjuction with one of the older updates, but it's been some time ago.

Internet Explorer is hard on video adapters. I would make sure that the drivers for the adapter are the most current available. If that doesn't help, you might consider swapping out the adapter with a different one to see if it alleviates the problem.
