    Log files not displaying

I am trying to baseline our Exchange servers before installing new software. I want to monitor certain objects for a week and then compare with same after installation. However, when I run a test for 24 hours, System Monitor will not display the log file. I open System Monitor, click the "View Log File Data", choose the log file and open it but nothing at all displays in the panel. I have tested on a PC with the same result so it looks like it is me but I can't figure out what I am doing wrong - can anyone help?

Surely someone has seen this before?

    Re: Log files not displaying

I don't have a Windows 2000 system here at home, but it is very similar to this Windows XP one. On this one System Monitor is the view you use for interactive use. You need "Performance logs and alerts" to create a counter log.
