Adding two dates for time (MS Office - Excel 2002)

I am trying to add two different times 23:04:23 with 02:23:00 the next day. I keep getting ####### instead of the time.
Using SUM(B3-A3) as for formual and formated the cell as TIME - 37:23:23

=SUM(B3-A3) is not valid, use =B3-A3, and use a custom format on the cell, using the <!t>[ and ]<!/t> characters around the hour, of <!t>[h]<!/t>:mm:ss.

If the time is negative (B3<A3), you must also add 1 for the "day change" (if you don't have the date included in your time)

=B3-A3+(B3<A3)*1
