    contour plot (Excel 2002)

Is there any way to plot x,y,z data to get a contour plot (or a 3D topographic plot)?
Excel seems to only be able to plot parallel series of 2D data...
How do I make it see three columns of data as true XYZ data?

Excel's 3D plots are all of the Line (categorical) type: equally spaced in both x and y direction. There is no way around that I'm afraid.

There is a download for contour plots here, but the site is in Italian.
