Running Excel VBA from Intranet (VBA/Excel/2000/SP3)

After I had worked on a stand-alone Excel macro for several weeks, they tell me that it has to be available to run from the company Intranet. The administrator moved the XLS to the reports folder on the Intranet server. When it is run, it always hangs at

Workbooks.Add (DataPath & "XYZ_Certif_for_Payment.xlt")

I can DEBUG and start it moving again immediately. Is there some special insight I need to run from the Intranet? Should I force them to run from a desktop icon?

I don't know what DataPath is - it is not part of Excel VBA, so I assume it is a variable. If you define it relative to the workbook, it will not be valid for a file on the intranet. Can you make it work by modifying the value of DataPath?

Did not change a thing. Going to drop back and punt. We will run it from a desktop icon.
