    Bullet Text (2002/2003)

This is probably a "by design" issue, but it is bugging one of my more vocal users so....
When the first letter (or word) of a bullet is given a font attribute of bold, the bullet character (or number) also becomes bold. If all words except the first word are made bold, the bullet or number character remains normal. We have noticed that this occurs no matter what design template is used. Is there a way to "fool" PowerPoint to allow the user to make the first word bold, but leave the bullet or number character normal? I have checked the Bullets and Numbering dialog, but nothing there hints at that kind of control. Master Slide view doesn't yield an answer either.
I've included a simple example file.

Put a space or a tab (CTRL+Tab, actually, to keep the whole line from indenting) as the first space in the line. Make sure it's set to not be bold. Then bold the first letter/word.

Wow - beautiful. I was trying to make it too hard. Looking "under the hood" when a simple space will do. Thank you!
