    Re: Missing Word

Good puzzle, Ricky. So many wrong garden paths to go down and, believe me, I've been down them all. I have two possibilities which follow the same pattern. So my stab is:

    <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #000000; font-weight: bold"><font color=yellow>Stooge.</font color=yellow></span hi>
    <font color=blue><font face="Script MT Bold"><big>Rob</big></font face=script></font color=blue>

Rob - Not exactly what I was looking for. What was your other choice?

Another garden path visited. Oh well, here goes.

Ignore my previous ramblings. The solution just jumped out at me.

    Isn't it <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #000000; font-weight: bold"><font color=yellow> banker </font color=yellow></span hi> as they are all <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #000000; font-weight: bold"><font color=yellow> upstanding items </font color=yellow></span hi>

    Re: Missing Word

Ok, just read your message and had to look up what that face meant. I thought it might be 'joking' but it turned out to be 'sarcasm'.

Now I'm really confused - as opposed to just confused which is what these sort of puzzles normally do to me. So please please please let me know the answer and why <img src=/S/igiveup.gif border=0 alt=igiveup width=31 height=23>

    Re: Missing Word

I don't have the slightest clue to the answer of this puzzle. I thought you were being sarcastic when you included 'banker' among 'upstanding items', but that is probably my personal bias <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

    Re: Missing Word

Very nice, it just jumped out at me too. Isn't it funny how the simplest puzzles take the longest.

Here's another clue, for anyone who is stuck...
    <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #000000; font-weight: bold"><font color=yellow>
    1. Worthy
    2. Covers
    3. Crouch
    4. Hidden
    5. Always
    6. Visits
    </font color=yellow></span hi>

    Re: Missing Word

Thanks, that helped. (A non-proportional font would have helped too.)

No need to look up the meaning of smilies (or a flag, or any of the icons) - just let your mouse hover over it ....
