Creating Graph on Access form programmatically (Office/Access 2000 SP1A)

I have a fairly simple problem theoretically: to create a graph of the temperatures taken of a sample over a period of (say) a week
from a Access table that records the temperature taken, the dateand the time it was taken.
I started down the 'INSERT CHART' track but got sillly, unrelated results with things like 'Quarters' shown on the chart, although I never asked for anything of the kind.

Ideally I want to be able to click on an image on my form which will in turn set the source data for the chart to an SQL statement and instantly flash up the graph of temperatures
versus times for the past week (say) so you can see at a glance the variation of temperatures over a linear time scale on the x-axis with temperatures on the y-axis.
Does anyone know the easiest/best way to do this?

You should be able to set or edit the Row Source property of the chart object after inserting the chart with the wizard, I don't see the need to do this in code.

Thanks, a nice simple answer that seems to take care of most of the behaviour I was after.
I wish the subject were better documented in the help files!

Unfortunately, both the chart wizard and the online help for charts leave much to be desired. It doesn't seem to be a priority of the team that develops Access.
