Changing input mask (2000)

I have an input mask and would like to change it to a "/" rather than a "-" which is the windows default.
Is this possible?
see attachment.

Use a backslash followed by a forward slash in the input mask to indicate that you want to use the forward slash as a literal character. E.g.

00/00/0000;0;_

(this is just an example)

That works fine.
Can you explain why you used backslash followed by foward slash, just so that l know for future reference.
Also , just out of interest are you qualified in Access as you have excellent knowlegde and skills in the subject.
I also think you website is excellent.

If you use a forward slash by itself, Access will replace it by the character defined as date separator in the Regional Options control panel in Windows. Preceding it by a backslash tells Access that you want to use it "as is". Similarly, if you want to include a literal text in a number format

Although I have attended some courses in Access, I am mostly self-taught. I have learned a lot - and am still learning a lot - from this site, Woody's Lounge.

By "your website", do you mean the Lounge? I don't have a personal website.
