Outlook 2002 running on Windows 98 (Outlook 2002 running on Windows 98)

Hi. I am using a computer that has Outlook 2002 running on Windows 98 OS. I have 2 questions.

    1. When I attach a file to an email, a file icon is inserted in the body of the email. How do I fix it so that the attachment appears on the attachment row below the subject row?

    2. How do I change the default font for the notes section of tasks and appointments?

Are you using HTML format for your message, if so, switch to "Plain Text"?

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Thanks Dave. My work computer, where I have the problem, is set to Rich Text. Your solution, switching to Plain Text, works. But, I use HTML format in my home computer and I don't encounter this problem.

Any suggestiongs about my font problem?

Are you using " Rich Text" and Word as your editor?

My work computer is tied in to a network. It seems like Rich Text is the only acceptable message format. I've tried switching to HTML and Plain Text but it always resets to Rich Text. Word is not set as the editor. In fact, I can't set Word as the editor. It's grayed out or not an available option. Is this because of network settings? Or, can I fix this in the computer I'm using?

The font for the "Message" area in a task appears to be the same as the font for e-mail. This is based on a 30 second experiment with changing the font and trying it out. Your mileage may vary.
