    Re: Access (Office 2000)

Can Shrink only affects the height of the controls. The solution for this is to use one text box with a formula as control source. If city, state and zip code are always filled in, the expression is easy:

    =[City] & ", " & [State] & " " & [PostalCode]

with the actual field names substituted. Note: the name of this text box should not be equal to one of the field names, that would confuse Access. If the state and/or zip code could be empty, you can use this expression:

    =[City] & (", "+[State]) & (" "+[PostalCode])

Combining fields in report (Access 2000)

(Subject edited by HansV to be more informative than "Access")

I am designing an Access Report. In the detail section I need the customer city, state, and postal code to be next to each other without more than one space between the fields, no matter how long the fields are. How do you squeeze all the fields together? I already went into the field properties and changed the Can Shrink to Yes.
