Re: Error Handler doesnt catch error (VB6 SP%)

On my PC, your code reports error 8007002, error 80070035 and that "Drive T konnte nicht zugewiesen werden", as was to be expected.

Have you turned off some of the error checking options in Advanced Optimizations (button on the Compile tab of Project | <project> Properties)?

I did before, but returned to unchecking all options.
I have the suspicion that using the"New" option when defining the objects could be the problem as this was the first time I did it that way. In other programs I used the create Object Method. I will give this a try today.

Error Handler doesnt catch error (VB6 SP5)

    Hello,
    I use WSHOM.OCX ("Wscript.shell") to read a Registry entry.
If this entry does not exist I get an exception with error number X"80070002" when in Debug mode of VB 6.
If this Program is compiled an run, the error is not catched but the following Message is displayed:

The Statement in X"....." points to memory location X"000000000"
    Read cannot be performed.
    Here is the code piece:
    Option Explicit
' Achtung: Reference Windows Script Host Model setzen
    'Es wird auf D A T E I im ProdPath gepr
