Copy Outlook profiles to another user (2002)

Is it possible to copy Outlook 2002 profile definitions from one user to another? I found several threads that identify the files containing portions of the configuration (toolbars, Outlook bar, etc.), but nothing on the profile definition itself.

I have several profiles defined that each have a number of personal folder files and information stores defined. I have had to change my login ID on this system, and would like to copy as much of my old environment to the new ID as possible. Reentering the Outlook profiles would be very tedious. If it's not possible to copy the entire profile, is it possible to information from the profile (specifically, the information store definitions) after creating a template profile definition?

    Thanks in advance.

I am not EXACTLY clear what you are driving at. You may have to recreate your email accounts, but the rest of your information should follow the existing files if you move them from their current locations. You will have to, for example, open up the PST files from inside Outlook - as you have probably already understood HTH

Re: Copy Outlook profiles to another user (2002)

Thanks for your response. Let me see if I can explain the situation a little better.

System userid A has three email profiles defined. One of those email profiles has 15 POP3 accounts and 7 .PST files defined.

I need an identical email profile (same POP3 accounts and .PST files) defined for user B on the same system. I can create a new profile from scratch, but it is very time consuming to enter all of the POP3 accounts manually. What I would like to do is copy the entire profile entry from user A to user B.

    Does this make more sense?

I remember (somewhat vaguely) a thread on how to import and export account information to a file. However, an intermediate import into Outlook Express might have been involved. Finding this might take longer than re-creating the accounts... <img src=/S/wink.gif border=0 alt=wink width=15 height=15>
