Battery Sci-Fi

"Way back" in October, there was <!post=this extensive thread,303993>this extensive thread<!/post> about batteries for cordless mice and keyboards and their life, etc. It's a rather divergent thread, so I didn't want to add this to it. But this is so weird I just had to mention it. When I bought this latest Logitech cordless keyboard and (optical) mouse in October, I happened to make a note on my calendar specifically so I could track battery life. Since that time I've had to replace the batteries in the cordless optical mouse three times - at EXACTLY 61 days apart each time! Is this science fiction or what; or maybe a Logitech plot.

Al

It is more likely one of those "conspiracy theories" which sweep across the internet from time to time! Alternatively, you just KNOW that you ought to replace batteries at this interval, and can't make it a day either way.

Next time try replacing with a different make of battery, and see what happens! Alternatively, buy the 2300 ma rechargable type for about UK

I'm thinking along the same lines as John. If you are starting with a known quantity and the mouse has a known current drain, that could explain the near identical dates for changing batteries. It would be even more likely if your computing habits are consistent and do not change radically.

Just a thought. Personally, I think it's eerie!

Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
Today it is called golf!

Like Viking used to say, it's like deja vu all over again! Or, great minds think alike. Or, curiosity killed the cat.....

Recently when I changed the batteries, I changed from my "usual" Duracell to Energizer, figuring maybe there's something to that little bunny rabbit commercial. Stay tuned (for about 61 days).....
