Decimal places in pie chart percentages (XP)

I often need to create pie charts from spreadsheets, and I have to go in and set it to show 1 decimal place when it displays the percentages. Is there any way to set 1 decimal place as the default (only in pie chart percentages, not everywhere)? I often forget to do this, and then have to go back and change it.
    Thanks

You could set up a custom chart type.

Set up the chart with your preferences then select "Chart>Chart Type..." from the menu
Go to the "Custom Types" tab and select User-defined
Click on Add to save your custom chart type

The next time you run the chart wizard you can select your custom chart type when creating the chart.

    When you say:

<font color=blue>"Is there any way to set 1 decimal place as the default (only in pie chart percentages, not everywhere)?"</font color=blue>

I say Not really. MS-Excel does not have such affinity to one's wishes. <font color=red>BUT!!!</font color=red>

you can always write a VBA procedure to just that. You can run it to set your number formats in what ever chart you want. This is how MS allows personalized settings.

You may find examples here, and here.

    Hope this helps.

One trick that works for all charts. I have the decimal increase/decrease on my toolbar. If you want to change the decimal on an axis or data labels, select the axis or label and then click on the decimal increase/decrease icon until it's where you want.

Note: You only need the increase or decrease icon on the toolbar. Shift and the same icon goes the other way.
