    Formatting in a Query (2002 SP-2)

I'm a bit of a novice with Access and have a minor problem that I'm hoping someone can solve for me.

When I design a query and want to format the output, I right click on the field and select properties. From there I can select field properties and select a format AND the number of decimal places. At other times (I'm not sure whether it only applies to calculated fields) I only get four lines on the form with nowhere to set the number of decimal places? Is there a setting that I can change to address this?

The Properties window doesn't display Decimals for calculated fields, but you can specify the number of decimals Format property, for example
    0.00 (2 decimals)
    #,##0.0 (1 decimal)
