Property is too long (Access 2K)

I have this little piece of code in an Access database: "Me!Activities.Text = Me!Activities.Text & vbCrLf & txtLastEntry". "Me!Activities" is a memo field and "txtLastEntry" is a variable that I have dimmed both as a variable and as a string. No matter how I "Dim" "txtLastEntry", I get this error: "The setting for this property is too long". What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any assistance!

The Text property of a text box is only available when the text box has the focus (is the active control). If that is not the case, you should use the Value property, or just the name of the control, for Value is the default property:

    Me!Activities = Me!Activities & vbCrLf & txtLastEntry

Thanks, Hans. Worked like a charm!
