Virus Warnings (Outlook XP)
Today I got another email from someone I don't know (actually, it was probably automatically generated) that said an email from me (that I didn't send) was blocked because it had a virus (shows name of virus). I've run norton (with up to date signature files) against my C: drive and come up clean.
So, what does this mean?
I do have a virus but its really new?
I don't have a virus but some virus is using my email address as the 'sent' address?
Suggestions?(Location Australia, then UK, but now USA. Heart, outlook, attitude, etc always Australian)

Re: Virus Warnings (Outlook XP)
It most likely means that the virus has harvested your address from someoene else's infected machine and is using your address to spread itself. This can happen without your system ever having the virus. You could politely explain this to the sender of the waring message so that they will understand that they are wasting their time and evryone elses by sending e-mails to people who may have completely clean systems.-John ...
