    Auto Create (2003)

    Hey there

I have a colleague with the following situation:
His AutoCreate feature changes the email into an appt, but it will not include the details of the email message in the memo field of the appt. (Just includes the message info like who sent it to whom and when)

    Any ideas?

    Re: Auto Create (2003)

In order to be of any help, I first have to admit that I use Outlook 2003 but I don't what you mean by 'autocreate'. I'm not aware of anything that changes an item of one type to another type without user interaction, but I'm still learning the new features in Outlook 2003.

Do you mean drag-&-dropping an item of one type to an item of another type so that a new item is created, such as dragging an e-mail message to the Notes folder or to a Calendar Folder time-slot, to create, respectively, a new Note or a new Calendar item containing the text of the message?

AutoCreate works for me in 2003 - just like the earlier versions. This applies both for an "old" imported PST file and for a new, native format PST. Has your colleagure tried Help|Detect and Repair? HTH
