Create tasks, and save to Calendar (2000)

Is it possible to create a task, and also have it displayed in your calendar if it is date and time specific?

    Thanks in advance

When you ask - its obvious that the functionality would be so incredibly useful!

So far as I know an item is only a task OR a calendar entry and not both. It's easy enough to drag a task onto the calendar - but it then of course takes on a life of its own and has no real links to its parent. I can see how a Macro could be written to create such 'shadow appointments' - but I'm not aware of any non-VBA way.

The click and drag will work for me.

    Thanks.
