    Shutdown Message (XP )

Upon shutting down, why would XP all of a sudden start displaying a pop-up titled End Program - RUNDLL32.EXE with the message "Ending Program Pleas Wait"? And what can be done to eliminate it?

    Re: Shutdown Message (XP )

    Chuck,

This is sometimes caused by a spy/ad type program called bridge.dll.
First run spybot & adaware to see if it picks it up. then delete it.

    also:
    Run>regedit
    From there Go:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>WINDOWS>Curr entVersion>Run
Then Delete key with bridge.dll ( if it's there )

Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
    Today it is called golf!
