    continuous subform new record (A2003)

I have a subform in continuous format. The user find it disconcerting to have a new record pop up with the defaults entered at the bottom of the form as they are entering the current record.

They need to be able to enter more than one record on the subform and the subform is small enough that I don't want to have to include a command button to add a new record. Has anyone run into this? How did you handle it.

You might put the command button on the main form instead of on the subform (the caption should make it very clear that it will insert a record in the subform.)

Or change the subform to a single form instead of a continuous subform.

Another thing you might try would be to use the "Allow Additions" property of the subform.

As soon as they start entering a new record, set the property to 'no' , then set it back to 'yes' again when all the required fields are completed.

This would defer the appearance of the new record to much later.
