    open to a specific record number (a2003)

    What is the correct syntax to set an unbound combo box to a specific record number when the form opens? I've got me.cboFindConsumer = ([lngConsumerID] = 116) and that's obviously not it.

    It depends on the rowsource of your combobox. If the bound column of the combobox equates to lngCustomerID then all you have to do is:

    me.cboFindConsumer = 116

    However, that isn't going to trigger any action you have built into the AfterUpdate of the combobox, if that's what you're hoping for. That would require something like this as well:

    Call cboFindConsumer_AfterUpdate
