    Page X of Y

Word 2000. In "View -> Header and Footer", I've chosen "Insert AutoText" and selected "Page X of Y". Everything looks fine within Word itself and Print Preview. But when I print, the "Y" always matches the "X". For exmample, the pages of a five-page document are headed by "Page 1 of 1", "Page 2 of 2", "Page 3 of 3", etc. I was kinda hoping for "Page 1 of 5", "Page 2 of 5", etc.
I'm pretty sure I've seen this Q/A before but I couldn't find it this time, so I apologize for any repeat.
