    Earned Value (MS/Project 2002)

    Hi,

I have been tasked to produce earned value information from microsoft project. I am only interested in (Baseline Costs) BCWP, Actual Costs (ACWP) & the Cost Variance (CV). Has anyone been able to do this & if so how?

    Regards
    DG

    Re: Earned Value (MS/Project 2002)

For starters, you need to create a schedule and populate it with resource / cost data. Then create a baseline of the project. When you schedule the project (i.e., calculate % complete for each task), MS Project will calculate the earned value (BCWP) based on the data input.

You can then check your variances.

I am not using Project 2002 but in earlier versions of project, to produce particular graphics, I would need to export the data and use another application such as excel to do it.
