    Header/Footers (2000/SP3)

When creating a custom header or footer Excel retains that header/footer name in the drop-down list. Is there a way to delete a previously created head/footer from the list?

    Many thanks.

Try selecting the header/footer you wish to remove, click on Custom Header/Footer as appropriate, and delete the contents of each section.

That worked for me. (XL 2002)
