Duplicate key message (WXpHe + OffXp)

In our table company data I need to enter a new record - I'm trying to do this and I get the error message that I will be creating a duplicate key! I have checked all of the fields in design view and there is only 1 primary key, our client code (text, no duplicates). The data being entered is patently NOT duplicate. I have compacted & repaired etc. Please help.

A table can contain other unique keys (indexes) than just the primary key. Open the table in design view, and inspect the Indexes window. Are there other indexes besides the primary key? And if so, does one of them have its Unique property set to Yes?

Hans very many thanks for your guidance. I did find three fields which were indexed Yes(Duplicates Ok). Having removed these, I can now use the table again. Weird that... however the challenge is solved, again thank you.
