    Sasser knocked out ports

Thanks to all who helped me through the Sasser crisis. That kid in Germany should be shot. (not really, but you know how I feel).
Since I cleaned it up, I can't get printer or PDA connection. Re-plugging and reinstalls don't seem to work. Is there a trick here? Any help much appreciated.
    Thanks!

Are you talking serial or parallel ports? Or are these USB-connected?

I would also be interested to hear if anyone else has experienced this. Cleaned up Sassar on a friend's machine a few days ago and she informed me last night that she hasn't been able to scan or print since. Her setup is parallel port for the scanner with a pass through to the printer.

What do you see in the Windows Device Manager? Are the ports present there?
