    Printer Port removal (XP SP1)

    Hi,
we are having trouble with HP LJ 1010, who sometimes clone themselves and create a new printer port, resulting in making the original printer unaccessible. Corrective Action would be to remove the new printer and its associated local port. But the printers are in our salesforce and we want to check and remove with a program. Any hints how this could be done with Visual Basic?

From My Computer or Windows Explorer click Tools | Folder Options (you can also open it from Control Panel).
On Folder Options window click View tab.
In Advanced Settings list UNCHECK "Automatically search for network folders and printers" option.
    Click Apply, OK.

Maybe somebody else can provide you with VBScript to change this setting through the network.
