Stop 'Requesting Virus Scan' (word 2000)

(Subject edited by HansV to make it more descriptive than "Word 2000")

I would like to remove an item that shows up every time I open my word program and that item is "Requesting Virus Scan". I have shut down my NAV assuming it was a feature it had but that did not remove it. Is there some way to stop a virus scan every time I open my word program? Please reply.

In the Norton Anti Virus window, click Options, then General or Miscellaneous (depending on your NAV version). Make sure that the Enable Microsoft Office Plugin check box is clear.

    Hi Pauliez:
Just a tip for locating information. If you are in the Word Lounge & use the search function for "virus scan" (no quotes), you would find the answer quickly, including <post#=363004>post 363004</post#> by Hans. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>
