OUTLOOK 2000 PROBLEM (MS OFFICE 2000)

When Loading MS OUTLOOK 2000 , I get the error message

The add-in "omowi32.dll" could not be installed or loaded
this problem may be resolved by using the Detect & Repair on
the help menu. Unable to Load "omowi32.DLL you may be out of
memory, out of system resources, missing a .dll file.

I ran the repair on (2) different occasions. Today again
showed gathering information
wanted to have the CD disk installed MS OFFICE 2000 PROF.
Wait while windows configures MS OFFICE 2000 PROF.
Must Re Boot computer for changes to take affect.

After re-boot, same error trying to go into OUTLOOK again.

I have had the mother board replaced with a Pentium 4, the memory size doubled and
still have this same problem. Is there anyone out there with a suggestion. Could
not get support from MS because my software was a company purchase, cheaper package
or something. I tried to purchase the full blown MS Office 2000, could not find any
one to sell it. No longer available I guess. I sure could use some help on this because
it cause other trouble, Many time you cannot expert for a backup and then you get
runtime errors at other times.

>The add-in "omowi32.dll"

Are you sure that this was in fact part of your standard Outlook 200 installation? It sounds as if it was a custom add-in (possibly a COM Add-In) trhat has not been fully deinstalled.

Re: OUTLOOK 2000 PROBLEM (MS OFFICE 2000)

Wow you must know your stuff, this happened when the plant controller tried to get company email working on my office computer, He never
did, but that is when the problem started, I am now using a Toshiba Notebook for company email, because he never did get it working.
How can I un-install the problem or edit the Registry to remove it ...

Re: OUTLOOK 2000 PROBLEM (MS OFFICE 2000)

Try looking under Tools|Options|Other|Advanced Options (near the top). On the Advanced Options tab that then opens, look for an Add-Ins button near the bottom. If there is anything in there that you do not recognise, try unchecking the check box and choosing OK all the way out. Close and reopen Outlook to see whether your problem persists. HTH
