Report Breaks (A2K SP-3)

I have a report whose sorting and grouping is set to DepositDate Acscending

The report has aDepositDate Header [DepositDate]. If Deposit Date is blank, it lists all the records that have no deposit dates and then breaks properly on those records that have DepositDates.

I am trying to get the DepositDate Header to print "No Deposit Date" for those reords that do not have a Deposit Date

I tried Nz([DepositDate], "No Deposit Date") and

IIf(IsNull([DepositDate}, "No Deposit Date", [DepositDate])

and neither accomplishes what I am trying to do.

Any suggestions?

Your first attempt should work out. Set the control source of the text box in the group header to

=Nz([DepositDate], "No Deposit Date")

Important points:
1. Don't forget the = in front of the expression.
2. Make sure that the text box is not named DepositDate. That would cause confusion, since the control source is dependent on DepositDate.

I must be missing something.

The lack of the = was a typo. The text box is named Text89.

I will try to post a database tomorrow.

Your item #2 got me searching and somehow another date field had been named DepositDate. No wonder there was confusion. I don't think I would have ever tracked it down with out your caveat.
