IE, ME, and FTP? (Windows ME)

Not sure if this is an IE issue or a Windows ME issue, but here goes....

I was trying to help someone upload files to their web host last night using IE on a Windows ME system. I got him connected to the ftp site using IE, and he was able to log on and navigate to the upload directory.

However, he couldn't cut and paste files from a My Documents window into the FTP window. If he tried to drag the files from My Documents and drop them on the IE window, IE opened them. He could do Edit > Copy on the My Documents window, but Edit-Paste was grayed out on the FTP window.

Is this an IE issue, or some limitation of ME? Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Hi Bob:
Take a look at Tools/Internet Options/Security tab/Internet (or whatever zone you're in) & make sure drop & drag copy & paste is enabled.
    Hope this helps,

    Thanks Phil -

I've emailed him to look at that option. That certainly sounds like it could be the problem!
