    Removing Background (2000 & XP)

One a background has been added to a slide, can it be removed to return to a blank slide?

I realist that it can be brougt into the master slide and title master to delete all the grqaphics and text formatting, but is there no way to remove all of the extras with one click somewhere in the menus?

I don't use PPT very much, so it's not obvious whether you mean a background inserted by a design template

Select the Format menu and choose Background. Once in the Background dialog box, check the check box that says "Omit background graphics from master".'
