Border Outside Print Range - Word 2000 (2000 SR 1)

Any type of border I try to place around my document cuts off the bottom on both print preview and printout (at least it's consistent!!). I have Word 2000 and SR 1 running on a W2K PC. I checked the Microsoft KB and only found one reference that says it's a problem that occurs because the green hue is set to something other than 0. The fix was to set the green hue to 0. On my system it already is 0, so that ain't it.
    What's going on?
    TIA

I don't seem to have a problem putting a page border around the document. Does it make a difference if your margins are increased? If not, could you attach a page from the document?

Is the problem that the one of the margins is set closer to the edge of the paper than the selected printer will allow? An injet printer may not allow a small margin (i.e. less than approximately .5 inch) at the bottom of the page.

    Phil,
Thanks for the offer. Here's the one page document. It's a legal size page. I can't see to get the border away from the edge of the paper. I tried a larger margin for the page, but that only seemed to affect the text, not the border.

I don't know if it's the same in Word 2000, but in Word 2002 (aka XP), the following works:
    - Select Format | Borders and Shading...
    - Activate the Page Border tab.
    - Click Options...
    - There are settings for the margins; the bottom margin is set to 0 points from the page edge. Set it to 24 points for a laser printer.
    - For an inkjet printer, you can't set it high enough (31 points is the max); switch to distance from the text instead of from the page edge, and experiment.

Thank you! Distance form the text is what I needed. Once again, Woody's Lounge comes to the rescue!
