    Terminate Outlook (Outlook 2003)

I want Outlook to always terminate when I press the close button and not run in the background. What settings control this?

What other software are you running that just might be using Outlook. such as a Palm or Pocket PC, Faxing SW or any thing that is tied to your calender?
Also at times it just takes a while for Outlook to shut down because it is busy doing things that you have told it to do.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Ah, I think you got it. I've got ActiveSync for my PPC running. It's set to sync continuously while connected, so I'll mess around with that some.

All I have to do, it to turn off the Pocket PC and then Outlook will close.
