No, the FROM field can and will be forged and there's nothing you can do about it. Sad but true.

(Do you want to delete your address from your post?)

Blasted spam (Outlook Express 6)

Just recently, I have been receiving more spam from people that use my own e-mail address. Is there any way possible to block these people who have no life? The header of the latest reads:

Yes you can.
Get emousetrap from MOUSETRAP trial period or $19.95 US.
One of the rules you can set is to check the "from" line in the email. If it is from yourself, ( or so it looks ) it will trap it. Works for me like a charm.
100% Spam blocking to boot.

Thank you. I will try it. At the rate I am downloading software to my computer to protect myself, there won't be room for the software for word processing, databases, etc.

This will stop you from receiving the email, but not others from receiving it. It will still appear that you are sending out this email to those who get it also.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

That's right. It's what I want it to do. Stay out of my mailbox.
That phony addressee ( not me ) is sent to fool the Spam programs into thinking it is a legit message from me
to me.
