    Blocked e-mail (Outlook Express 6)

I don't know if I can explain the situation clearly, but will try. When a friend sends me an e-mail and I directly reply to it, she does not receive my reply. However, if I create a new e-mail and send it to her, she does receive it. I compared the headers of the e-mail to which I replied and the one I created and found that in the header of the one to which I replied there were a lot of characters in front of her e-mail address that were not present in the other. An example is:

    Header of e-mail I reply to: From: "***" <***@pc.org>
    To: <ad3dhd.Pat@all.com>

Header of e-mail I create independent of one received: From: "***" <***@pc.org>
    To: <Pat@all.com>

I hope this makes sense. Thank you!

She has the wrong address entered in her "Reply" box of her account settings.

You mean the account settings of her e-mail provider? Sorry, I know so little about this stuff and am slowly learning the very hard way. My friend knows even LESS than I! I don't know how I will explain to her how to correct the situation. <img src=/S/confused3.gif border=0 alt=confused3 width=45 height=45>

Yes, the accout seeting of her email. Within Oulook Express, go to "Tools, Accounts", then select the mail tab, and then the account and then Properties. You will then see a window as attached. The correct email address needs to entered in the reply box or left empty.
