    Videos (2003)

    Everytime I add a video to my presentation I get a black boxs which will appear for a half a second. Is there any way I can make this Black box go away?

    Very few of us are working with PPT 2003, so you aren't likely to get too much feedback - my guess is that your video is quite large, and it takes the half-second or so for the video to be prepared so it can be shown. If that's the case, there may not be much recourse. What format is your video in (my guess is the native Windows format would be the most efficient)?

    This is fairly common, especially with MPEGs. Not sure there's a good solution other than using a different video format. AVI usually works well, although AVIs are much larger than MPEGs. You might, as Wendell suggested, try WMV instead.

    This Google Groups thread might give you a couple of workaround ideas, though.
