1. ## Five Sixes...

A little more of the same...

Step 1 - Complete the 10 words below by adding the correct three letters where needed.
Step 2 - The three-letter blocks you used in Step 1 should be placed correctly into the grid in Step 2 to form five new six-letter words.

Note: This time, the new words formed in step 2 will be part of a related group (just as green, red and white are all colors...). See an <!post=earlier puzzle,377142>earlier puzzle<!/post> for an example of how to solve.

2. ## Re: Five Sixes...

I've got four of the five. Last one is presenting difficulties. But that's what they're supposed to do. Nice puzzle, Ricky.

3. ## Re: Five Sixes...

Got it!

4. ## Re: Five Sixes...

Thanks...

I was careful to make sure that the first ten words had multiple possible solutions. Should take a bit of trial & error to select the right three-letter combinations to give the desired results in the 2nd part. Discovery of the "subject" would allow working backward to get the correct solutions for part 1.

There is a handy shareware program that will make very short work of this type of puzzle...If you're using it, you must cut it off now!

5. ## Re: Five Sixes...

Yes you did! Congratulations.

6. ## Re: Five Sixes...

That was the strategy I used - find the subject then solve the rest. No software used except blood, sweat and tears.
BTW. I'm losing sleep over "What is it", so I'll be forwarding the medical bills.
