    transposing data layout (2000)

Hi, I have a report that groups product data first by category, then by product, then by date (grouped by month), and I summarise the date data in the date section footer (and have the date details visible property set to No). Therefore each section is listed horizontally - category at the top, product below (within each category), and date below that (within each product). This makes the months as rows, and the various pieces of information in each month (number, cost, sale price) are in columns.

I would like to be able to transpose the date section so that the months become column headings and the number, cost, sale price becomes the rows. Is there a way to do this, and maintain the existing grouping by category and product? The data is currently in a query.

Thanks for any suggestions, this seems really tricky!
    Regards Roger

Take a look at the Crosstab query wizard. It sounds like what you need.
